There is NOTHING quite like tearing into a freshly made chapatti and lovingly wrapping it around some yummy curry before devouring it in your mouth.
My love affair with chapattis started as a little girl sat outside my nana’s kitchen watching the red and yellow flames of the wood stove lightening the dark kitchen with the black chapatti pan on top. Then witnessing the rapid rolling of the chapatti by the cook, before she slapped it on the pan and within a few moments another chapatti was thrown onto the pile next to her.
One of my biggest achievements was to eventually make as round and as soft a chapatti as these that my nana approved!!!
